Thanks M8.Im a car driver as well (Civic Type R) but for outright power and acceleration,the R1 is way ahead.Youve really got to ride one these to appreciate how powerful & Dangerous they really are.147bhp at the back wheel & weighs only 180kg Top speed is around 190mph with 0-60 in around 3 secs.It`s brown trouser stuff.Ive had over 80mph in 1st gear!!!.
When you get your licience M8,take it easy for a few months.Riding a powerfull bike is very different from cars or smaller machines.

It was the car you may have seen being won on Driven (ex Channel 4 prog) a few years ago & as driven by Jason Plato (ex BTCC champion).
It's a lovely car that's had a lot of work done on it, including a full engine overhaul. It has also been around Cadwell park, so is not scared of a bit of speed., though I don't expect it to be as fast as a lot of cars on here.
last years bike just after passing my test wasn't happy with performance so didn't last long
next bike , well happy with bike and of course the performance of this one .. now sadly in the scrapyard after learning to wheelie it to perfection (which i thought would prob be the reason for binning this one) i lose it on a island in the wet
now have a 04 reg but no pics as yet .. will update in next few days
