 Which Laptop?

I am wanting to get a laptop which will be used for general stuff (not gaming planned) and also to playback MKV/HD Media files through my LCD TV.



I have seen a Inspiron 9400 and although it has a DVI connector I am not sure how the audio would work.



Would I be best looking for a laptop with HDMI connection so to enable me to send Video/Audio on one connection?



Any ideas/recommendations?



Oh and the important part, it cant be more than £400 as that is my limit, hence why I am looking for secondhand/refurbed.
