dunno if this has been asked a million times but wondered what people thought were the best internet security/anti virus out of Norton IS 2005 ,McAfee or Steganos.

problems with nortons its a memory hog and does not find all
mcafee is ok but does not find all virus

the only one i found up to know which has high marks is bitdefender v8

this has out beat all these under strict test

NOD32 with Sygate Firewall Pro.


MCAfee has been getting worse IMO

norton is bloatware, takes up too many resources

I vouch for Avasti which has worked for me for ages without any problems whatsoever - auto download of definitions and actually tells you when a virus/trojan is detected. A survey I read showed that Avasti is as good as Norton or McCafee so why pay when you can get it for free. AVG is good also apparently.
