I have just purchased a new system with DVD+R/RW and have been warned about non compatibility with standalone players (I have a Sony DVP-S325. Can someone ease my fears?

I can only give you my experience with plus discs, I have a standalone panasonic DVD player, which although being a good macjine is quite old and will not play plus discs, however when my minus discs started playing up I went out and bought a 50 quid player and have had no problems with playing plus discs. There is an ongoing debate as to what format is going to be the standard, minus being the norm at present, but with prices coming down now on plus discs and with the 8X burning(when i eventually get my 107 writing plus at 4X let alone 8X), plus could be the standard fairly soon. Its VHS vs Betamax all over again. Hope this helps

I have just purchased a new system with NEC DVD+R/RW im having trouble.burning dvds....i copy a film to harddrive.......then insert a blank dvd+R.....and every time it spits the disc back out........saying error.please clean disc......but ive tryed lots of dif make dvds......and have the same problem...can anyone help????
