RULES AND GUIDELINES FOR DISQWORLD FORUM

Please observe that the rules as posted will be strictly enforced!

These rules are as stands at time of writing, we may feel the need to amend or add to them, that is at our discretion and will be carried out if deemed necessary.


Buying Selling & Trading is ONLY to be carried out in the Forums allocated which are:

Buy, Sell & Trade Software /Software Wanted / Trade Only / Hardware / General / GSM. The associated Bargains Forum is purely for posting bargains you may have spotted, NOT for personal adverts because you happen to think your sale item is an absolute bargain!
Phones, accessories, etc., have their own forum called GSM Buy, Sell Trade.

DISCLAIMER
If you are trading on this forum, you must include the following....

"Any backups supplied to you are on the understanding that you own the original copy, if you do not, then you must destroy the backup copy within 24hrs as a sample copy"

You must include this disclaimer in ALL your posts and replies.

If you put this in your sig line, then it will appear in all your posts and replies and you will not have to remember to include it every time....

NO Monopolising the BST forums
We do have users who share the same connection, some boyfriend/girlfriend, etc., if Selling then ONLY ONE account is allowed to do so. So if you do have 2 accounts please choose which will be doing the selling and keep it to that, anyone found selling under multiple accounts will be warned and if we are ignored could be banned on both accounts.

In the interest of fair play in the bst forums, you are only allowed 2 topics on the first page. These posts are NOT to be bumped until they have fallen off page 1. This way, everyone get's to be seen.
Members with more than 2 posts will find their excess topics deleted.


The posting of adverts, including links to websites of similar content to Disqworld, selling or requesting 'WAREZ' or Commercial Software Applications is STRICTLY PROHIBITED and will NOT be tolerated.

Sky/Cable Digital or Analogue, modifications, chipping, carding, selling is NOT up for discussion on these Forums. It has been noted that some perfectly innocent posts have been jumped on by people wanting to sell these kinds of items, and we will not be permitting this. This includes selling of all boxes. Too hard for us to guarantee it is a legitimate box and they're easily accessible anyway from stores, local papers, TV ads etc.

PORNOGRAPHIC MATERIAL (i.e. Photographs or links to sex sites) is like-wise STRICTLY PROHIBITED and will result in an IMMEDIATE & PERMANENT BAN.

ANYTHING in ANY WAY pertaining to, hinting at, or containing Paedophilia, will not only be deleted and the member banned, but everything we know about them will be passed on to the appropriate authorities.

(Young children may frequent Disqworld in an effort to gain knowledge and we will NOT have them subjected to Pornographic material by way of adverts or anything else) If you have adult content VCDs for sale then simple say 'Adult or XXX' NO descriptions or graphic titles. And No Hentai..!

The Board Hosts/Owners & Staff will NOT be held responsible for the quality of goods traded it is up to you as the Buyer or Seller to determine the validity/quality of anything that is Bought, Sold or Traded on these Forums. If you have a problem with a Buyer/Seller then you deal with it, we are providing a means of communication between interested parties.

Objectionable/Pornographic material will like-wise NOT be tolerated as Avatars / Sig Lines or Personal Logos and will be removed on sight. Should you see anything that you find objectionable please report it to a Moderator or Admin and we will look into.

CRACKS & SERIAL NUMBERS Discussions are likewise NOT Permitted, they are one of the fastest ways to get a forum closed down, so please do not ask for or offer Cracks or Serials. If you post offering to e-mail a crack/serial or link to one then it is the same as offering.

SPAMMING of sites or by repeatedly posting the same thread will NOT be tolerated, it is annoying to other users and uses valuable resources, like wise the posting of sites on the same lines as Disqworld is a No-No, why should you use our members to try and build your own forums up, links to such sites will be checked and if found to be in conflict will be removed, this is a private forum and as such does not need other sites spammed all over it.

MULTIPLE THREADS where a user makes multiple threads when one is sufficient. (Ie offering backup titles separately over 5 or 6 posts) is a NO NO. Place your ads together unless they are totally unrelated.

USERNAMES Each member is allowed only ONE username. Anyone found using multiple names (especially in the BST forums) will run the risk of all their usernames being banned...

YOUR ACCOUNT Your username on Disqworld is exactly that... YOURS. DO NOT allow others to use your login details to access the forums. You are responsible for ALL posts under YOUR name. Anyone found doing this may find themselves being banned...

EXCESSIVE POST BUMPING OR NONSENSE REPLIES (which is the posting of garbage/silly comments i.e Pm'd you,in an effort to increase a Users Post Count) is NOT ALLOWED.

SIG LOGO SIZES Please try and keep your signature logo sizes within the limits below, it helps to keep the site nice n fast.

COVER SCANS There has been an increase in the number of 'cover scans' being posted, as you know a lot of cover sites are being closed because of the fact that the artwork to Music and Video/DVDs is Copyright! Posts containing pictures of these scans will NOT be permitted. All scans will be edited from posts, and users that ignore this ruling will be banned from posting.



We would like to keep this a fun site as well as an informative one and therefore request ALL members to respect each others cultural differences and points of view, any large number of people will always have differing views on different subjects, that is to be expected and is what helps make a forum a useful place for info.

If you disagree with someone there is NO need to flame him or her. There will be a lot of you who are well used to using forums, that's great, but please be aware that there will probably be an equal number of Members who are not. A little patience goes a long way, so please NO 'Newbie Bashing'!!!

Each Forum will have a subset of guidelines for what is and what is not allowed to be posted in them, please abide by these. If you have any problems contact the Moderators of your particular forum or an Admin. We are here to help you get the most from these forums, but please understand that we are not here to answer questions which you may not have got an answer for in the forums.

When posting please be patient, people using these forums are from all over the world in different time zones, the person who may be able to help you may not be online, it doesn't mean you should re-post the same question over and over because the first post went un-answered. People will see your post, and will help if they can.

For the really stupid-If it's not allowed on the forums then by way of common sense it is also NOT allowed via PM!!!!!
