It's also sticking a lot when trying to eject and sometimes not spinning up properly.
Figured a full drive replacement would be a better idea. Now if only I could find a decent guide on flashing. Tried iPrep before and it will only work with an original firmware, no go with the version with my key patched in. Just need a guide on directly flashing a patched firmware using the Xecuter kit instead of using the 360. _________________ I only buy backups of software I own. I do not sell backups at all
Swap the drive chassis - retain the board? _________________ ---------
Any backups supplied to you are on the understanding that you own the original copy, if you do not, then you must destroy the backup copy within 24hrs as a sample copy

I was thinking about doing this, although when I replaced the laser last time I found the ribbon cables a pain to get back in once removed, especially the one that goes from the laser to the board. Figured it would be better to leave it all alone and just flash it with ixtreme 1.4 as it's currently on 1.2 and behaves slightly strange at times. _________________ I only buy backups of software I own.
