I had to use Brick Blocker yesterday on Hell's Kitchen (USA but I patched it to the PAL region code).

So I don't waste any more discs in future, is it advisable to run Brick Blocker on all NTSC games?

Absolutely if you update with different region you can get duplicate channels or worse.

I use a program called WiiUpdateManager on ALL games I download. It tells you if the update is present, what region it is and allows you to change the update region or version or get rid of it completely. I'd say at least 30% of US games I download need the update removing.

Yes WiiUpdateManager is good little prog and you can brickblock with it as well
