thx, still work out at 70p each if you buy 50 - which is more then I usually do. Will look in to them when by verbs run out.

i get my fortis for 50p a disk hardly expensive m8 and i never have a problem playing 360 or ripping my wmv,s back to hdd unlike aones+zero defex when ripping them back to hdd fails 8 times out of ten just not worth the hassle.besides the fortis are every bit as good as verb in my experience.

Were these fortis disks any good?

Im with zeon on this one, i went for the cheaper media, aone, seemed to burn just fine, when it came to making an image back to my laptop almost a quarter of my disks were screwed, so lost nearly 90gb of data Sad

Could do with a quick answer to the fortis disks question please

Was just about to order some verbs, but i really dont fancy paying nearly £30 for 25 disks

hi m8 fortis WERE an excellent disk before used the same dye as the really good traxdatas that used to be around just of late im getting mixed results with them.never had probs before now ive also just updated my writer [pioneer 116d]so whether its a firmware issue im not sure will update my writer to latest firmware and see what happens.so for now i think verbs is the only way to go im afraid.

everything up to date now and still mixed results so back on the verbs for now.

Could someone please tell me which dye is used on the Fortis dual layers? It'll only take a minute if you load the disk in DVD Decrypter of ImgBurn.

I use :

PiData Ritek Printable Double-Layer 8x DVD+R (Pack of 25). ADVDInfo: Ritek S04

PiData Full-Face Printable Double-Layer 8x DVD+R (Pack of 10). ADVDInfo: Ritek S04

Useless in a duplicator but will read back fine if you're making an image.
