Its not the downloading it the uploading (sharing) that isp cut you off for. Peer guardian is good I use it all the time.

But to be more safe, what I do is use a seedbox and then ftp back to my comp as you are not sharing then Smile

would they cut you off for using things like Azureus as technically your uploading as you download?

Whoever owns the copyright material, say for example Columbia pictures and they catch you uploading (sharing) there material they will file a complaint to your isp. Then its wether your isp does anything about it.

I have been cut off 3 times now for uploading. So what I do is use a seedbox.

advice needed-sky bb and bpi
recieved a letter from sky yesterday also with a letter from the bpi stating that my bb had been used for dl`ing music files.it gives the spiel of making sure that all in the household knows tthe difference between legal/illegal file sharing and sky have assured me that my name and address has not been given to the bpi but might have to if action is taken further.
there was an exmple of a file which after looking for in utorrent had come from the piratebay.org.i have since removed any other files that are related with this site.i have a feeling that i got this through demonoid-would it be best to delete all files that have come from there?
i`m also with leecherslair-privatetracker-so would like advice on what to do with those files aswell please.

i`ve always used newsgroups before and have only recently-last 6 months or so-been really using torrents.would this be the culprit that has got me caught?

any advice on this as my missus is panicking like crazy

cheers
