Can any one help please?

In August I sold a car on Ebay for £4400 (it was my 1st ever sale), the retard who 'bought' it didn't pay for it or even reply to me so I was charged £11.99 listing fee which I grudgingly paid.

I opened a non paying bidder dispute but he still hasn't replied & Ebay wants me to pay the £34.99 final value fee. I assumed once opening that dispute & him not replying I wouldn't have to pay any extra fee because it's obvious he isn't going to reply/pay, it seems to me Ebay still wants me to pay them & once I do I get the £34.99 back in the form of a credit! I don't really sell on Ebay, only buy, so is that right that I must pay them & only get some stupid credit note back that I can only use to sell things?

It seems a stupid rip off that I pay them/they give me a credit note back straight away, or do I actually get the cash back?
Hopefully some of you experienced sellers can tell me what will happen if I pay & close the dispute.

Oh & it's great Ebay has changd feedback rules so that I have to leave this time waster POSITIVE FEEDBACK!!!!!

if i remember rightly, there is somewhere on ebay where you can have a live chat with customers services and ask them questions about any issues you have etc,
i placed an item for sale once in the wrong section, i followed the above route and they refunded my paypal account within a few days.

Cheers Lucky but I can't access Ebay where I am now, maybe I'll try that as a last resort later once I'm home but in the meantime if anyone can answer my question from experience, I'd appreciate it.

I have sorted it thankfully, seems once I closed the dispute it cancelled out the £34.99 owing, Ebay could have made it a bit clearer though.
