Freesat

I have the Humax...bought it for the Euro's, when both the games on bbc and itv were in hd...quality pic! ot sure that the recording ability is required just yet, as there are not enough programmes in hd to warrant it, so I would wait till the new boxes come out and but the basic one much cheaper!

I agree with jesmondo in terms of amount of programs vs recording.
I am waiting to see if freesat takes off, it took freeview (originally itv digital although that went bust) a while but it got there in the end.
I have a Humax freeview pvr, it is great, so with that in mind I would have no hesitation in recommending the Humax reciever, especially if they're doing a recordable one as I'm sure in the future it will be needed.

Humax HD PVR receiver is about to be lauched I think, will retail for about £250 - £300.

Ah the good ole days of freeview Smile Remember it well when it was ondigital and had loads of fun with cards readers Wink
