can any of you guys help before i put a size 10 through the front of a new telly
got a new philips ambilight tv with a virgin media box and dvd/surround sound
the problem is when you try and change channel with the remote on the virgin box it is not responding, but the sensor on the front of the tv is lighting so the remote is "seeing" the tv and the virgin box is not responding
if i switch the tv off i,ve got full control over the virgin box no problems
any body got any ideas

So you got the VM box hooked up to the scart/hdmi socket on your tv? And when you flick channel on the VM box, it does not change on the tv?

Simple - you gotta change your tv onto auxilary output otherwise known as A/V or AV or AUX or SCART1 etc.
