Where the hell do you get off saying shite like that. I’ve had to install a wiikey on a wii that you couldn't do (one of the easiest mods to do I might add) and you don’t see me shouting about it (until now).

I wasn't meaning you m8, but recently had to repair a few wii's that previous modders (all but one are either banned or no longer trading on here) had done. I'm talking complete messes and they just weren't interested in fixing them afterwards, so although they originally paid a few quid less to have there console done by these other people..in the end they ended up paying much more because I had to repair the mess.
Latest console was a D2Ckey that had stopped working and had already been back to the modder (who is still a member and advertising I may add) to get repaired and then just ended communication.
He sent it to me to remove the chip and refit a d2pro. When I opened it up I was truly disgusted at the install. There was wires everywhere and corrosion all over the chip legs and via's as he had covered the board in corrosive flux and not used a flux cleaner afterwards. It was an absolute nightmare to clean up, luckily half the wires just came off when I touched them so that made my job a little easier.
The fact of the matter is i've been on here a long time and watched modders come and go, been banned, ripped people off etc and it annoys me. I get people pm me all the time saying stuff like "ps2 still going strong after 5 years but now its time to get my wii/360 done and wouldn't use anyone else"
Thing is...modding wii's has become easier so people with an old soldering iron in the shed come along and think they can do it, and most the time the install will work but its to such poor standards its an absolute miracle. Back before softmodding on the xbox 1 I knew a guy who used to bring me consoles to do and it was quite a few so did him a really good rate...but then decided to have a go himself and he really couldn't solder, but maybe 8 in 10 would work and the other 2 he would bring to me to repair which cost him more than it would of done in the first place. He thought it was acceptable to give that kind of service
In all the time i've been on here i've never been banned or been told off from the mods because someone complains. My installs work and continue to work years later, which is why most of my business is repeat customers. I'm certainly not desperate I get plenty of business as it is and don't have to resort to lowering my prices to a point where its hardly worth doing just to get more business.
As for your claim about me being rude and abrupt I don't know where you have got that from. In one case I did have one person come along and (a now banned member) said he would mod his wii for £23 with return special delivery I just told him to use him instead as I wouldn't match that price. As it turned out he sent it off to him and shortly afterwards stopped working and he was banned so the guy was stuck and I had to bail him out. He ended up paying about £10 more than what I would of done it for in the first place.
There are other genuine reliable chippers out there as well as me - for instance I have done various deals with Ray AKA WillyWonka and he's a sound bloke who I believe wouldn't rip people off and i've also known quite a few other chippers over the years who I would also recommend.

Ian what you like I should add I have stopped mod'ing for the time being as I have other commitments (working offshore makes it hard to get to a soldering station for starters). I think most of the people who have been around the block will know who Cabby means and have fixed one or two already.
One of the reason I stopped was this silly battle over prices etc.. I didn't do it s a business so no great lose now I have stopped.
Someone certainly did get out of the wrong side of the bed that morning though lol.. Kinda funny that two of the guys, I send all my old clients to, kick off on here hehe.. Hand bags at twenty paces anyone?

well i would have thought that this wii it quite new as its not coming up with the serial trackers so its more likely to be
a D2E drive chip in it
