ok guys i have just ordered a new tivx 6500, because i think that its much better to have all my hd movied stored on a hard drive rather than hundreds of dvds around the house, looking at the tivx specs it looks good, but is it as good as a blu ray player, or should i return it and invest in a blu ray player,

You could buy a ps3 and external hdd, that way your films would be on the hard drive and you could play them through the ps3.

blu-ray player based on the fact i watched my first blu-ray movie the other night was truly amazing.now i know we can dl blu-ray rips etc but they not as good as a proper blu-ray movie disk.

Save money on the media player and get a popcornhour media player, I have the A100, but they have just introduced the A110 which has fantastic specs.
I also have a ps3 for blu-rays, but value for money is the media player and I reckon you'd get a ps3 and popcornhour for around the same money as a tvix 6500?
