Wonderd if anyone can give me a rough price of how much i should be lookin got pay to have some laminate flooring fitted

Needing the living area and dining room done, theres 33 square metres that needs doing, gonna ring around for some quotes but does anyone have a rough idea of what i should be expecting to pay

The going rate for fitting laminate floors is about £6-£7 a square metre. Skirting boards etc are extra.

M8 its so easy ive done 2 rooms and i'm diy retarded! replaced all skirting boards though so no beading .

The laminate came this morning, worked out at £127 for the lot and tbh we was expectin to pay quite a bit more so i dont mind having to pay a little to get the job done right

True m8 , i like to have a go but when you spend 12 hours doing something a pro can do in 2-4 hours you think is it worth it? lol

30 metres i would have thought about £300 for fitting dependant on if there's any tricky places ie around fire harth, and if you wanted a pro job taking all the skirting board off and replacing then a lot more, my room took 14 packs and the packs where 2.2metre square and to take all skirting off lay all laminate and put new skirting on and paint ect took 3 days. I would have expected to pay £150 a day to do what i did so somewhere near £450. But be carefull you could easily get some clown round that lays your laminate and uses beading all way round and easily do it in 3 or 4 hours, but to do a pro job does take a lot longer but well worth it.

a good carpenter will charge10-15 for laminate board and 20-30 a square metre for solid wood it all depends on shape of area your covering and what your using me personally will buy a good quality laminate b/q is crap stuff uni click is good stuff as the old sayings go you get what you pay for

I would agree with BLASTER £10 per metre is a fair price for a straight forward laying job with beading.

dont use carpetright cost me 450.00 (that was all the bits everythink) to fit front room and dinner area done half the job then when came back 4 days later to finish off told me some cock and bull story must say they did a good job but only having half the floor down was a pain in the backside
