Im looking to build a computer for my living room to hook up to the HD TV

the main 3 things it must be are small, quiet and reasonably stylish

I cant really afford to buy everything at once with xmas looming so would be buying the tower first (shuttle ???) not too up on hardware terms lol

looking at around £100 give or take a few quid for this (barebones?),

wont need it for gaming, mainly browsing and playing films etc so no overkill
upgrading it to bluray may be a possibility in future so wouldnt mind it being capable

any suggestions? i dont even know which sites to look on

what would you recommend mate? ive heard mixed reviews about the asus ones but they seem the best spec for the money

a laptop minus the screen and keyboard would be perfect lol, maybe i could re-box an old lappy and sell the screen on ebay

can't really say about the asus except that it will be going in for repair lately there not getting any good reviews

i think a recent survey i read was HP/compaq came top then followed by Tosh then IBM which surprised me

what i would do is just google top ten laptops just to get a good idea of what not to look out for
