 please help

i was removing some unwanted files from my computer and i must have got rid of the sound on my computer got no audio at all gutted i have tried to restart by computer from a earlier date but my computer will not do this for some reason i do not have much experience with computers so all help would be great easy to follow steps i know some one knows what to do

i run a windows xp on a patriot computer please help thanks

Hold Windows+ Pause/break key go to hardware> device manager find your sound card and update/reinstall drivers
