I hope this is the correct place for my problem.

Is there a program i can use to monitor & record my 15yr old daughter's activity on chat sites as our lass think's she and her other friends from school are chatting to older men and to put her mind at rest i need a program i can install which will allow me to log the sites and log what she actually types?.

She chats mostly on Myspace & msn.

I don't want to stop her going on these sites without proof of any wrong doing but i need to put our lasses mind at rest.

The laptop is her's but i am the administrator.

Any ideas???

MSN messenger has an option built in to log all chats. Not sure about myspace though

You could pop on a key logger and see what she is typing...

i suppose you might be able to get her myspace username and passwords if she types them in and log on and see whats on her myspace?

There's free software you can get to do this e.g.: http://www.logixoft.com/

Or if you can't get that working, as mentioned you could try setting up her MSN to log all conversations.

Key logger...she wouldn't know its even installed.

If she has a clue on MSN, she could set "log the convos" to off, when she uses msn and pop it back on when she signs out!
