Broughton Moor Royal Navy Arms Dump, 02/06/07 *56K NO WAY*
I thought I wouldn't top Longbridge, But This is the Rural Version, only BIGGER!!!!
Visited this on Saturday, got there at 6.30am and managed to get in un-detected, the place is HUGE, I spent well over 5 hours in there until a farmer spotted me and raced over in his jeep to tell me to 'leave the site and never come back'! but by that them I had completed my time there anyway. if it wasn't for Flash Earth, I would deffinatley of got lost.
I saw loads of rabbits, squirals, 2 owls a dead fox and even a Deer!!!
Took my half face mask with P3 filters as I heard reports of asbestos, better safe than sorry!!
Since posting this elsewhere on the net I have found out the MOD STILL own it, they cannot be sure all explosives have been cleared from the site and have also confirmed the SAS occasionally use the site as a training ground
I have included an arial pic lifted from the tinternet to show you my route from the day. I started in the top right of the pic and was found 5 hours later where the pink dot is in the bottom left of the compound, I then asked the farmer if I could exit the way I came in as my car was up there, strangely he agreed and left me on my way, I got a bit disoriented on the way back and got stuck in between a circle of VERY spikey bushes, I eventually found a way out, thank god!!
