Okay I am not going to preach and say that just googling something like "can my wii be chipped serial".....

These are 2 of many sites that'll tell you what chip your WII probably has....

Can I just add, A general rule of thumb is that if your serial is above LEH135xxxxx then its a d2c.

If its below that then your prob ok, athough if it was LEH13499999 you'd be pretty boderline.

 ok - so i've got a d2c

Hi,

I've got a d2c chip. I've seen websites advertising chips for them.... are these ok ? or are there pitfalls ?

Appreciate any replies as I've got 2 to get ready for xmas !!
