seen this happen for the last 20 years in the east end of London mate,now the locals who have lived in the area all their lives cant afford to buy their own places there....

i lived in the same sort of things as this as a kid and i know what you mean Fairy-blue, it was good but better when we moved even though we lived on the ground floor and had loads of good mates as they always seamed to move families in with loads of kids, it was so nice to move to a real house with a garden and be able to walk around without hearing other people above you

I agree they should build these now but they should be more like high rise villages if you will. With nice spacious appartments and well kept communal gardens with real recreational facilites such as gyms and bowling etc.
