It would be nice if any tradesmen would be kind enough to compile a little FAQ of common Q&A's for their specific trade and then maybe we could organise them into sticky's per trade. Much easier for people to find the info they need then rather than lumping them all into one place.

tip 1 when drilling into a wall where there is lovely carpet or you can't int got a hoover works best on flat walls get an envelope with some sellotape stick to wall just below hole your goner drill crease the envelope then all the dust will fall into the envelope not on the floor works a treat try it _________________

I've got a bag full of Dust Bubbles for drilling. You can get them in B&Q and are very cheap. Bit fiddly to use at first but you soon get used to using them

drilling tiles
mark the ceramic tile and stick a bit of selotape on the mark. Then drill away. This stops the drill bit from sliding all over the place _________________
