This flipping iTunes ! :(

Hmm I'm not too happy with iTunes.

Apart from seeming to run very slowly it just isn't as good as I was expecting - with all the hype surrounding iPods.

I want to have some music on the iPod BUT I don't want it on the PC. I just want to try it and then delete it without taking up room on my PC.

Am I right in assuming that if I have some music (lets says an ABBA album for example) synch'd between the ipod and PC and then I delete that ABBA album off of the PC - that when I next Synch the ipod and PC together either one of two things will happen..

1 - Abba will reappear on my PC?
or
2 - Abba will be deleted from my ipod?

Also, someone said to me that iTunes converts all my MP3's to some apple format and stores all that on my hard drive in ADDITION to the original MP3's - is that right?? and where on the HD are they?

Fanks!

If you set iTunes to 'Manually manage music and videos' on the device screen then none of the above 2 scenarios will happen

Not true, iTunes works perfectly fine with MP3s, as will your iPod

You can convert the audio to AAC format if you wish, but it's completely optional
