Hi all,

Spybot search and destroy found it, but when i select it to be remove it says it can't removed it coz it was found in the memory. It does give me the option to remove it at the next reboot but when i restart my pc spybot does run but it comes back with the same message. Ive tryed doing it in safe mode as well but whatever i try it just come back Sad Its stopping me from connecting to the net ( im no a friends pc at mo).

Any backups supplied to you are on the understanding that you own the original copy, if you do not, then you must destroy the backup copy within 24hrs

Disable system restore and do it in safe mode?

Get HiJackThis and see if that can do anything

Also goto Add/Remove programs in control pannel, it might be in there under Windows Search Tool or something like that

Try avast

Try downloading and running Avast Antivirus. Just do a search for AVAST. Download and run the Home edition. Its free for home use. When it finds the infected files you can select a boot-up sweep of your hard drive. This is useful because you get the files in Dos mode, before windows starts. It has removed almost every trojan etc that gave problems on various systems i tried it on. Hope this works.
