Even though I won't be able to burn the discs at 8x, can I use the 8x discs in a Pioneer 106D with firmware 1.08? I'm just thinking about the problems previously with burning x4 discs in x2 drives. Just don't want to be buying a new burner!

Well, i use the 8x fuji's in my 105 at 4x without a problem, so you should be fine. There isn't the same problem that existed with 4x discs & older 2x burners. I think they altered the firmware to stop it from happening again.

Have used 8x fuji datawrite greys in 105,106 and 107 with no roblems at all.
