Paypal holding payment of ebay item?S?S

I have sold somthing on ebay for alot of money, around £250.

Now i checked my paypal as he said he had sent money, it has come through, but it says..

Payment Status: On Hold - Post now

Please post the item right away. We'll release the funds when one of the following occurs:
you receive positive feedback from the buyer
it's been 21 days since the payment date and you haven't received a dispute, claim, chargeback, or reversal on the transaction being held

Now i really dont understand this.. does this mean, if he doesn't like the item he can send it back or if he swaps the item he can give me a duff one back?

i don't really want the hassle of this crap. all i want is payment to be sent without any problems.

is this normal for paypal or am i taking it the wrong way?

I would give paypal a call mate 020 86053000 option 1 for customer services.

Sounds dodgy to me , i cant see a reason why they would ask you to post first. Was this confirmation of payment via email as if it is scammers send these out and they look like the real deal but there not.

Let me know how you get on pal

This a new thing paypal are doing to protect buyers of high value items. It has happened to me before when I sold a phone. The guy I sold the phone to had loads of good feedback so I sent it him and didn't have any problems, but I don't see why paypal should have the right to hold onto your money without your agreement.

I have just got this an all the price is £25 they are holding of me.

We're holding the funds for 1 payment that you've received for items sold on eBay.

The total amount on hold in your account is: £25.89 GBP

PayPal and eBay are working together to make it safer than ever to buy on eBay. One of the boldest steps is to identify transactions that pose the greatest risk of fraud and holding the payments from sellers for a period of time to help ensure that the transactions go smoothly.

To get access to the funds sooner, please post the item as soon as possible. We'll release the payment for the eBay item when one of the following occurs:

The buyer leaves you positive feedback on eBay.
It's been 21 days since the payment date and you haven't received a dispute, claim, chargeback, or reversal on the transaction being held
Additional hold period

If you do receive a dispute, claim, chargeback, or reversal on the transaction hold, we may hold the payment until the problem is resolved.

Learn more about the PayPal policy on payment holds for eBay items.

Bloody tw@'s they are

Yep i would rather have a negative against me than send something out first, there is no reason why they should do this if you have excellent feedback, it does get worse though, i am closing my selling account in a few days once i have sold the rest on ebay
