I am running Linux from a boot disc on a Mac, which I also have Windows (Bootcamp) installed on.
It runs fine, but I cannot get the internet to work on Linux. I have tried running the same boot disc (Linux) on a Windows desktop and the internet works fine on it.
Will the Mac ethernet adapter just not work with Linux?

it's likely that the Knoppix disc you're using doesn't contain the drivers required for Apple's network hardware.
I would make sure youre using the latest 5.1.1 version of Knoppix, or I find that Ubuntu Linux runs better on the Mac platform so you may wanna go give that a try as well (latest version 8.04) _________________ Smug Mac Owner
