Lcd or Plasma

Lcd or Plasma

Which would you go for a Lcd or Plasma ? looking for a 42 in and i think i read somewhere the bigger the tv you should go for plasma over lcd ?

Plasma imo looks much better for sport and movies but lcd looks better for gaming

Prefer Plasma myself. Colours look more natural

Not to be a pain, but I'm an LCD fan.

with experience, LCD is better, plus it doesn't break as easily. so if you've got kids running around... go for LCD.

i am a plasma man for dvds /tv colours look more natural but have to agree lcd better for gaming but then not allowed to put my 360 on the main telly often

I did the same research about 18 months ago when going to buy my 50in, the general opinion at that time was 40in and over go for plasma and the leaders in the field were Pioneer and Panasonic, I ended up with a 50in Panny, fabulous!!!

It really is personal preference.
I have both, Pioneer 43" plasma in the lounge and a Sony 32" lcd in bedroom and a Samsung 32" lcd in kitchen.
The pioneer is approx. 3-4 years older than the 2 lcd's and imho leaves them standing for picture quality in both standard def & hi def.
The Sony lcd is better than the Samsung and mainly because the Samsung has lasted 13-14mths and then had a problem witht the screen going black after half an hour or so of use.
In all honesty it just goes to show you get what you pay for.

I also prefer Plasma

LCDS for Sizes 32" And Below But Above that i say plasma all the way i have the 37" Panasonic PX80 and although not FULL HD looks fantastic on HD movies and Standard TV though my HTPC (as well as gaming)

I have just ordered a Panasonic 26" LCD for the bedroom though
