ipod charging

Hi all i have two ipod nano's 8gb but will not charge it just shows up as a lightning stirke on the bat but will not charge.

anyone had this problem or know of a fix.

Doesn't the lightning strike mean that it IS charging?

Which version of nano do you have?
Have you tried a different charger/lead?
