READ IN PLEASE!

It has been brought to my attention that we have recently had several sales in Hardware of 'High Value' items that have ended in dispute or worse, a member being ripped, so this ruling will apply to all areas where high value items are being sold.

Some of the items for sale are in excess of £200 and this is alot of money, we are therefore going to introduce some new rules for this section to prevent members from being 'ripped' for alot of cash.

ANYONE selling items in Hardware over £50 will be NOT able to advertise unless they have Refs or can be vouched for by at least two long-standing members. The sale must be approved by one of the BST Moderators before it is posted, and they must also provide the BST Administrator Tracey with their full Name, Address & Telephone Number, (I can't see why this would be a problem for a genuine seller), these details will be checked and kept by Tracey until such time as the transaction has been successfully completed, and then they will be deleted.

Members Buying please use common sense, would you buy a cheap PS3 from a guy on the street corner you've never seen before and give him your money so he can run off and get it for you? If you would you're a bloody idiot, please apply the same principles to buying from the Forums, the Moderators here at Disqworld do an amazing job of sorting out disputes and weeding out rippers, but there is only so much they can do in these situations, so please don't just buy thinking the Mods will automatically get your money back if the deal goes wrong. Rippers are out there to steal your money they don't have morals and aren't gonna take any notice of a Moderator telling them to give the money back, they are thieves and scumbags, and YOU should be on the lookout for them as well as us.

I really can't see anyone complaining about these new rules apart from of course the Rippers who will be out of pocket, but hey, that's good you you guys isn't it?
