ID3 Tagging

Anybody know where or if I'm going wrong , maybe just to do with Win media player . Had to get hold of CD album tracks seperaytely , all tracks have ID3 tags of Song title ,artist , album etc but when I burn them to CD and play with media player it comes up unknown Album (named it when i burnt it) and all tracks come up as unknown as well .Burnt using Nero Express from mp3 to CD .Any programs that will help me .Media player reads all the info from the mp3 ok but won't once I transfer it to CD . thanx brk

When you burn mp3's onto a CDR and make it an Audio CD, all files will lose their ID3 tag information (because AudioCD's do not use ID3 tags... instead they use CD-TEXT information).

Media Player will not therefore pick up any ID3 tag information on an AudioCD (because there is none!), the reason it says unknown Album is because it downloads the information about the AudioCD fomr the internet database (via the serial number of the CD... which ofcourse yours will not have because you made it yourself!).

So the simple answer is: no album/track names in mediaplayer if you burn mp3's as AudioCD's.
