The 'Rumble' supercards are cheaper as they have no GBA support.

If you have a DS Lite, a supercard or supercard lite will work, however if you buy a supercard lite you will need a micro SD card, normal sized SD cards dont fit Supercard lite.

Generally what you need is

Nintendo DS,
Roms (patch the game Roms through the gamepatcher (found here http://eng.supercard.cn/manual/software.htm))
Drag the patched Roms onto your SD card.
Place your supercard with SD card into the slot on the bottom of the DS
Place the max media launcher into the top slot of the DS
Switch on your DS, a menu loads with your games on your SD.
Choose game from the menu and away you go.

No need for a passkey, as i believe the max media launcher sorts this out.

Cheers

Cheers for that tsomo,

So will a supercard SD "protrude" from the DS lite or will it fit right into the slot so not sticking out when in place.

Aren't Max Media Launcher and Superkey the same thing???

Rumble pack? I don't know anything about that. Sounds like a vibrating thing that you get in mobile phones. (Careful where you stick that).
No you don't have to get the Supercard lite for the DS lite but it does make it fit flush.
When you mention firmware Flash, do you not mean 'Patching'? You will need the patching software to be able to load and play the roms.
See the links for this.

I believe a standard supercard will protrude, whilst a supercard lite will fit 'flush' to the ds.

The superpass and Max media launcer are just about the same thing, i believe the superpass card supports the DS sleep mode, whilst the max media launcher doesnt.

The Max Media Launcher does support sleep mode on some games.

Right, i'm no expert, quite the opposite, but I am after the above for my little sister for Christmas.

My best options so far are:

Super Key @ £15 from cheapmod.net (free del at moment)

Supercard Lite (not rumble) @ £38 from cheapmod.net (free del at moment)

1 GB Micro SD (with SD adapter) @ £17 + £2.50 del

600 DS games on DVD from here @ £6

Total = £78.50

Anyone able to beat any of the prices above?!?

I'm still thinking about getting the Supercard Lite Rumble which is about £5 cheaper but doesn't support GBA games. Are the "600 games" that people sell on the software forum all DS (and will play on the rumble) or are some GBA????

This is very useful Morpheus. 10 out of 10 for finding it. It realy shows how to do it if you view the other clips as well.

Hey Flypopa,

Any ideas on what I should be looking for in a micro SD to fit in a supercard lite?!?!

I know it has to have a fast (write?) speed so someone said, but is that correct? and what is classed as fast?

Basically I am getting all of this kit for my little sis for Christmas and want to get the cheapest kit possible as long as it does the job.

Cheers

I would say don't buy cheap. or at least buy a well named brand.
I recently bought a 'Sandisk' from ebay. It is a fake and so slow.
I have not had anything to do with Micro SD yet. but I like the idea of the supercard lite where it don't stick out of the DSL.
As for card speeds, I am sure someone on here will tell all. Or start a new thread.
