how do i change my paypal email address on ebay itself ?

ive tried to add the email used to my actual paypal account and make it primary but it says this email address is already being using by another account, dunno how like as i aint added it too any other

is there a way to do it ? cause otherwise i wont be able to recieve the paypal payment as the notification will goto the email addy currently set at but i wont be able to recieve it as paypal says its being used
