the agency im currently with keep getting my wage wrong and not giving me my overtime, even when they do its wrong for example look at this shoddy wage they have given me for the week just gone

Units : 38 (even though it should be 40, god knows where they think 2hrs have gone)
Rate : 7
Amount : 266.00

PAYE Tax : 21.91
N.I : 13.69

----------------------------------------

Overpaid : 41.52 (again this is rubbish)

Total Gross Pay : 266
Gross For Tax : 224.48
Earnings for NI : 224.00

Net Pay : 188.88

anyone got any bright ideas as to how they got to 188.88 as i cant work it out at all, just cant get to it 266 - 22% is 207.48 so cant be that, even if u take the over paid amount off it, its 165.96 Again if you do 224.48 it still dont work out no where near 188.88 ?

how hard can it be to look at someones clock card, note their basic hours and overtime then add it up and tkae away tax and ni, really annoyin me it is, took them 3 weeks to pay me 14 hours over time spread over the 3 weeks and this week they forget to pay me the 16 hours overtime i did last week and the 8 on saturday, should of got this week £414 according to my calculations not £188 poxy pounds

you try and work this lot out
don't know if it right or wrong i do roughly the same hours every week and there always something wrong

Beowulf urs is about right mate. But Joe 7 x 38 is 266 - tax and ni = 231.12 - over paid 41.52 = 189.6 so seems right ???

266 - 41.52 = 224.48

224.48 is what you are paying tax an ni on

looks like your tax amounts to 9% of this and you ni is about 6%

why should it be 40 hours ? do you get paid breaks ? most companys now work on 37.5hr weeks

looks right but last week did the same hours and got a £10 pound more

if he is owed 16 hours then that should of been on there however i'd of thought the 8 hours he did on saturday would be on the following weeks wage

sat normally goes on the week after...on most agencies some agencies are different tho

sunday is start of the week where we work so i shud of got saturday. We do basic 40 working hours a week, 8 a day so i dont understand why i have only been paid for 38 lol. strange and yes they owe me 6 hours OT for last week

leaves you doing 37.5 hours thru week then,so being paid 38 hours gives you extra 1/2 hours pay.
