we had a cat,,charlie,,well,we stil got him,but never mind ,,i thought he needed a friend as he was nearly 4,,so we got a kitten from the rescue center,we had her from saturday til monday and she had to go to vet for a once over,,they said they'd keep her and that they would phone once they ran tests,,however,she died in 2 days..and we were gutted,,,so,the woman at the rescue center called and persuaded us we wanted the 2nd choice we had made that day,,,,so,we took harvey,he was pure white apart from a black spot on his back,and a black tail,,well,that blooming cat he spoke all the time,a constant meow came from him,and he followed you all over the house..we even had to sit him down and tell him he wasnt one of the kids,.anyway,the cat knocked the letterbox..to get in,he opened doors with the handle.he was lovely,,,,,,,we had him about 6months when iheard the most deadly of screams i had ever heard in my life,,,,i thought someone had been killed,looked out my bedroom window and there was my daughter screaming.,,,,the whole street was out.as i ran downstairs and out the front door,the man got out his car and he said "i never saw him"."i'll move my car"..no,i screamed,wait,,,i got robyn my daughter and her friends in the house,,she was shaking and scrmeaing,,,and the words shrilled right through me i felt sick,"not harvey mum,not harvey"....so,i went back out ,by this time hubby too,we got him lifted from road and in a bag,,and i phoned a friend of the family ,who agreed t otake us to a private bit of land he owned and we could bury him,,so we did,,after tea that night.....it was very moving,,but even now,,,nearly a year on ,,we still him him,and if we hear a cat cry ,we all turn ,and say"harvey",,then laguh a little laugh and say.,,,ooops,,,forgot,,,,,we ll miss him dearly,..

Aww thats so sad, i'm terribly sorry to hear that.

I had a cat some years ago now called sooty he was pure black and gorgeous, anyway my mum was the same and thought he needed a friend so my mum got a female tabby they got on like house on fire bless them, then one day I came home from school and my auntie had come round to see us, my mum was out on the front and looked very upset, she told me that she had some really bad news, that sooty had been knocked down by a train (we have a railway opposite our house) I didnt believe my mum at first as it wasnt like sooty to go away from the backway and onto the front near the railway, she tried to make me believe that he was dead and had been knocked down but i never believed her, and then to top it all off my auntie said look the proofs here (she had been on the track and put him in a black bag) now you can imagine the mess of a cat that had just been knocked down by a train not a pretty site and that was the last thing i wanted to see. Anyway nala missed him loads she didnt know what to do with herself bless her, few years after sooty died i found a stray cat that had been kicked out from the people who used to live next door (she was evil to him and she called him the most awfulest names) we took him in and called him simba (simba and nala from lion king, lol) anyway they dont get on at all and havent done for 5 yrs, lol

we have moved on again though,the woman at the rescue center knows i am a woose.so she phoned a month after harvey died and begged me just to look at her latest arrival,,,she was black and white,and had been taken from her owners,they had mistreated her but also let her have a litter before she was one year old...and was underfed,and very scared of people,but she had startedto hit her head of the cage she was kept in at the sanctuary....so,,yes,,,guess who has a newish cat called fizz!,,and we have had her from the summer,(may/june ish)..and she is not very sure of charlie,and he likes to show her he's boss,but she is such a sook,,and she also,has learned to chap the door to get in,,,,just my luck,,,
