My 3 year old cocker spaniel has dragged his bottom on my carpet about 5 times in the last 2 weeks, each time is only for 2 or 3 seconds. I was wondering, apart from having a itchy bum, what the problem is, how can i check for the cause and what are the cures???
any help would be great

Usually a sign of worms m8. Go to the vet and get Drontal worming tablets. They are about £2 each & its 1 tablet per 10kg of dog.

I've always used them on my dog & never have problems with worms. usually a course every 5 or 6 months is sufficient. You vet can advise you better.

Does his/her farts smell any worse then usual? my mums got a staffy and he used to do the same, took him to the vets and it was something to do with the glands in his bum, they sorted him there and then and hes been fine ever since

Yep its anal glands blocked rather than worms, our vet charged me £25 to poke his finger up my dogs bum
