 dell laptop 1525 help

hi iv got a dell inspiron 1525 laptop with a weird prob
its the dvd drive i can back up some originals and not others and with some of the newer films like stepup 2 it dosent reconize that ther is a disk in ther at all
any ideas Ranting

are you using the latest version of anydvd?i have had probs before with newer movies but once i updated all was fine.worth a try?
