Excellent start to the days exploring been meaning to get back and do the inside of this place after a comprehensive exterior report with CavKing.

Hopefully this place will return to the Scouts in the very near future it is slowly getting trashed by local tw@ chavs

I've seen pics of the inside before but unless you see it for yourself it's hard to take in just how much equipment was left sitting there and that's without what has obviously been stolen from the place.

Once in the others went for a spot of roller skating but I thought I'd rather wander round on my own and get some pics as it's unlikely I'll get back there once it's handed back.

Starting at the Swimming Pool which is really manky and needs emptying badly.

That isn't a pool cover it's the scum on the water, the pool is full.

Leaving the pool I headed for the reception area.







Bloody lift didn't work



So I took the stairs up to the plant room





Quick nose around the plant room then headed down to the air rifle range, no guns about probably all locked up or nicked by local muppets





Met up with the others for a spot of rock climbing





After the fun in the climbing hall we all headed to the gym for a bit of a workout, funny as fcuk this was

Bloody hell, it looked a lot better when i last went there. Didnt realised it had shut down. We used to take a youth group there and use the facilities. Got a Go kart circuit nearby as well if i remember rightly.

If you do pop back i wouldnt mind having one of those treadmills! lol

Yep Go-Kart track is still operational but the actual leisure centre has been closed for 5-6 years I think.

Ah yes i remember - it shut suddenly with no warning. Just had a look and it shut in April 2003.
