Many of the taxi drivers in my area run on it as you can smell them lol you can use svo (straight vegetable oil) or wvo (wast vegetable oil ) but it is recommended to mix with diesel beacuse if it is a cold morning ur engine will have trouble starting also watch out for the frying squad in wales lol it all started when people started buying shed loads from Asda and it aroused suspicion many people dont know but the first diesel car actually run on peanut oil. Very Happyfrying squad

You should be very carefull which car you put biodiesel in.Have a good look round the net and find out. Some of the newer common rail diesel engines can go out with a big bang using bio.

The review by Customs and Excise states that from June 2007
the first 2500 litres of bio diesel produced by the individual
for their own use is exempt from Road Fuel Tax
which equates to 25000 miles tax free in a normal car,
which means that your diesel will cost you approximately
60p per litre using new oil
and about 6p per litre using free used oil

I've got a 306td, r reg.

I use straight SVO. I get 20ltr drums from macro at £18 a drum. Add 10% of white spirit to each drum then pour it in.

No consumption difference. Once warmed up it runs no different as it does on desiel. its a bit lumpy when first started but it starts on the 1st first click. I put the down to the oil being a bit thick and cold. The 306 fuel filter is heated by the coolant so once warm its ok.

I'm going to look at putting some sort of heater inline.
