bare root perennials
I bought some bare root Astilbe's from wilkinson yesterday, 3 in a bag. the instructions say to soak them in water for 24 hours before planting. I've soaked them for 24 hours but I'm buggered if I can find out which way up/down I should plant them Does anyone know? _________________ Before you criticise someone, walk a mile in their shoes, that way... your a mile away and have their shoes too

It doesnt actually tell you how to plant a bare root, just how to plant a potted plan.
After googling for most of the night I think I've decided to just take an educate guess and bung 'em in _________________ Before you criticise someone, walk a mile in their shoes, that way... your a mile away and have their shoes too

Cheers Stealth, thats got the best info I have seen so far, just with the plants I have its difficult to tell which end (or side) the crown is!
