Just sold about 5 items on ebay... and about 3 of the buyers have non verified paypal addressses/account...

can i refuse the sale on this ground as im not coverd against chargebacks etc?

they have already paid me

can i refund them and refuse sale?

more importantly if i do that i guess ill get bad feedbk, can this be removed if i please my case to ebay?

I have a MASSIVE sign in red on my auctions saying I will not accept payment without a confirmed address .. makes absolutely no difference, the muppets still buy the ruddy phone.

If you had something on your auction stating as such then you are quite within your rights to refund and offer them an alternative method of payment .. or get their address confirmed which takes all of about 5 minutes and then make the payment again.

You will not get bad feedback removed by ebay unless it involves swear words or something just as bad but in my case nothing normally comes of it as I hold back my feedback as well, so the buyer does not get a neg unless they give one first.

As far as i know bad feedback can only be removed if the other party contacts ebay and retracts it. If you don't send the items out to them then they will leave feedback unless you can agree with them to send payment via cheque or postal order

even if it's retracted, it's still available for people to read..

THE BEST WAY IS TO CONTACT THEM AND INFORM THEM THAT YOU CAN NOT SHIP THERE GOODS TO AN UNCONFIRMED ADDRESS, AND IS THERE ANOTHER METHOD OF PAYMENT THEY CAN USE..AND RETURN THERE PAYMENT TO THEM.

tHE ONLY PROBLEM IS YES THEY CAN LEAVE YOU NEGATIVE FEEDBACK AND THE ONLY WAY FEEDBACK CAN BE RETRACTED IS IF BOTH PARTYS MUTUALLY AGREE TO IT,

ebay will remove bad feedback if there is any swearing in it. apart from that, the only way is to mutually agree to withdraw it, as far as i am aware

i never leave feedback til the other person leaves me one first.sometimes u get the odd ones saying.i should leave them 1st.but i always tell them
u leave me one 1st.if not then.forget about it.as its happened to me few times.i use to leave feedback 1st.with very good long ones.all i use to get in return was one word feedbacks reply..like:good,thanxs,recieved.
