I was watching the United game mostly this afternoon, but did flicker to the Gunners game every now and then but they were pretty awful today
Nothing stuck for them untill Clicy scored, but Wenger has serious problems

They definately need a player that will get stuck in and respond to a physical battle when teams play like that against Arsenal

I also feel Arse only have one method of winning..beautiful football, they need a back up plan

Typical arsenal got muscled out, and really should be doing better

In the interest of Arsenal fans and stakeholders, Hopefully (for you lot) Wenger will keep your main stars, But I can just see Adebayor leaving this summer, and vela replacing him, I can see a few other Senior players going too!

That's a fair shout m8 i'm an Arsenal fan. He should have got some battlers in by now after the Allardyce - Bolton days , he's not learnt! The policy of sticking with kids will get us nowhere, he needs some old heads like the glory days !

Could be worse could have swapped the Fawlty Towers keeper we have now for Gomes lol From history do Arsene's scouts know what to look for in a keeper? I don't think they do Lehmann was ok early on , Manninger and Manuel absolute tripe. I do like Fergusons policy of getting a good keeper and Chelsea for that matter prob the best around. One decent Defender would do me and a midfield Battler. January's too late now damage is done, being youngsters they will be in awe of the big teams so we won't beat them , then again we can't beat the bottom teams lol

Our seasons over now, doesnt matter that its only November, the fact is how are we gonna recover from this? Our injury list gets bigger, Wenger wont buy any players in January unless its sum 18 year old from Zimbabwe or Egypt. Basically we get worse as we go along. I said our season was over when we lost to Hull at home, and I stand by that.

They have lost a bit of bite since Adams, Big V, Gilberto Silva, Flamini have all moved on. They need a Dennis Wise snapping at your heels type player to spice them up a bit. For all the skill in the world you still need a one or two hard b*stards in your team.

in my opinion arsenal are doing fine.

Dont get me wrong they not playing anywhere near the way they used to in the good old days, but that was because you had the legends which grew up in arsenal. they have far from gone, and you have not had the money to spend on replacments.

At the end of the day, the club is a big club, but they have the finances the same as a mid table or bottom table team!

They have to spend wisely and sell there better players to make money.

But guys what you are forgetting even though you are not challenging for the tittle, and lets be honest you have not done for a while now.

You are still up there in the top 4!!!!!!!!

Even though, like i said you sell your best players and spend like a mid to bottom table team!!!

So heads up!, in a few years arsene wenger will have paid of loads of depts and made your team in to a very rich team, and then you can start challenging for the top spot again!

Without money you cant go any further, its unfortunate, but the truth. and with other teams getting bought out and having loads of money or the teams going into major dept, you cant not compete with them.

You have 3 choices:

1 - get a huge loan and mess youselves up financialy, and probrably be sold every few years.

2 - get staken over by some unknown billionaire, which is a good option, if he doesnt have a god complex or changes everything about the club.

3 - keep doing what you are doing, staying high up in the table and being sensible with your money, and in a few years be able to compete with buying players because you have no dept and you have money in the bank. when other teams are still paying off there major loans !!!!!


Although another way of thinking about it, is if you have a loan then you can become better and make more money and then pay off your loan, while challenging for the tittle!!!!! but thats another story lol

What you gotta understand at Arsenal at present is the interest payments on there stadium loans, do they go out and spend £60-70m every summer to try and stay up with utd and chelsea, or try and do things the way they are for the next 10 seasons, there has to be a balance, how many points were they off the league last season? was it 4 or 5, so a win and 2 draws, its very close, in 10 years they will be in a much better position, they will have a stadium paid for or a big chunk knocked off the mortgage that will take the club forward for the next 100 years.
where as Manchester Utd have been lumped with £700m corporate debt that will never get paid off unless the sell the club again, and just hope someone doesn't do the same.
Chelsea can only operate the way they do because of Abramovich, if he pulls out then we all know things will change at the bridge, so long term what Arsene Wenger is doing is best for the good of the club, because when he goes or keels over with stress, there is'nt anyone who is going to run that club the way he has.
