Wandering where to book for the honey moon, this time next year... fancy somewhere hot and exotic, relax, drink and swim kinda place. Anyone been anywhere special they would recommend??

I went to Cancun (mexico) with my other half as a last romantic holiday before we decided to have a baby.

It's in the caribbean ocean so has the weather, beaches, clear sea etc but it's the american's equivalent to Spain so has all english speaking attractions, shops etc. Theres none of the lager loutishness that you get in english resorts either the americans are generally less aggresive when drunk.

Also the americans demand a lot more from their holidays than us brits so everythings cleaner, smarter, and generally better kept. A 5* hotel over there really is 5* and not a 3* who've paid off the local tourist guide.

We managed to get a late deal think it was around £500 each for a week all inclusive so it's a good price too. Plus they accept dollars and at the moment it's a brilliant exchange rate so buying things over there is cheap too.

I'd recommend it.
