 Alpha 156 advice please

I'm thinking of getting a second hand one but haven't a scooby about them (apart from Italian and look good)
Anyone got first hand experience of owning one? what 'known' issues should I look for and whats the best model/spec type to look for?

they have a rep for having electronics probs. luckily if you have a mate how knows there stuff it does help!!

other problem is running cost. servicing and parts are astronomical!

 not as bad as people say

i have a 2001 2.5 v6 sp3 ..... the best car i ever owned .......... sounds awsome drives awsome and looks awsome ........... was gonna get a scooby till i test drove this ............... it does 28 to a gallon round town and is 200 bhp . insurance is high ........ but worth it .......and lots cheaper than scoobys etc ......... servicing? well my local garage doesmine and its no dearer than any other 2.0l car ........... get one you will love it .... GO FOR IT
