Hi guys just got RROD death turned it on and get the 3 Red lights. I want to send it back but i got a game in the drive, anyway i can turn it on to get the game out? Cheers _________________

Franken jim dont call them off your mobile, i did the 1st time last year and was fine, now 02 have changed to charge for the calls to that kind of number. Last 2 calls cost me 15quid, partly due to the useless call center workers who simply fail to grasp anything you say to them. Anyway last time i sent it off for a new dvd drive under warranty, got it back with standard letter...we have replaced your motherboard etc???? Now its got the 3 rod's and it has NEVER been used for a game since i got it back, not even for a minute only ever for watching dvds :O Truly sick fed up now, and shall never buy another ms console. Went thru 2 xbox 1's due to crap drives, and now 2 360's. Yet my 4 year old pc dvd drive that gets used more still works fine. Bad luck or cheap ass parts used by ms? hmmm _________________ Any backups purchased by me are on the strict basis i own the original.
i have a elite console in warranty with game uk shop, i did the recent update on xbl and it gave me an error code 74, with only one red light (bottom right)
i ended up getting a replacement console from game so all is good
if it was not in 12 month warraty and considering the update triggered that error would microsoft fix the console under the extended warranty they have offered for RROD

They picked up my one on the 24/4/08 and my status on xbox.com says "Device Shipped to customer"
when I click on the ups tracking link at the top it says
"Your package is on time with a scheduled delivery date of 07/05/2008 "
It was in Frankfurt Yesterday, barking this afternoon, so.... fingers crossed when I

just got the 1 red ring ! bottom right quadrant and the error E74, seems to be a graphic card prob or somethin as simple as a faulty av cable anyway foned them up and they are gonna repair it, its about 2 years old so they must be classing this error the same as the three red rings and givin the 3 year warranty, im takin a chance as no sticker as was flashed..
if thery dont fix it will £40 an its not same as 3 red lights but still a motheboard fauilt _________________ Any backups purchased/supplied are on the basis that I/you own the orginal
Screen went funny when playing a divx video, turned the machine off then back on, no video output at all but still have sound. Seems to be a common problem
Will they fix this under the 3 year? machine is about 19 months old now and has been perfect for that length of time. _________________ I only buy backups of software I own. I do not sell backups at all
