Hi ya

My 8 year old daughter is going to Mallorca with her Nanny (lucky devil!!) now I've never been abroad so need some advice.

What mosquito spray or any other product do you swear by ? and any other things I should get for her to take (just in case). Will be sending first aid pack, suntan lotion obviously and rehydration sachets.

They'll be flying with easy-jet so any ideas on dimensions of carry on luggage and weight (and weight for luggage going in the hold) ?

I want to limit all possible things going wrong for her/them as a) everything that can go wrong does go wrong for me LOL (what can I say - I'm just the born unlucky) and b) I've already been through the wringer getting her passport sorted (had to go solicitors to do a sworn statutory declaration because my MORON of an ex-husband registered my maiden name wrong when registering her birth! the muppet) (see reason a for everything going wrong!! lol).

Anyhow, enough waffling - advice please

go ur local pharmacy they will recomend a spray for bites and that you have 20 kg for her suit case give her some sweets to suck on when plane takes off can help her ears not poping no full spray cans cant think of any thing else at moment hope she have gd time

I can't say how nervous I am about her going but I want her to have the chance that I've never had. She is blonde (long) and blue-eyed and I've been told that would mean she would create a lot of unwanted attention over there

Thanks Babbsy I shall measure it all later to see if it fits. Don't suppose by chance you know the weight limit on hand baggage ?

She's only going for 3 days so I am hoping it can all go as hand luggage.

I've looked at your apartment on many an occasion longingly lol Looks really nice

Who knows, one day I may be able to afford a passport and then book with you lol. Knowing me though I'll find out I don't like flying and freak out totally LOL.

I have to admit to being a total hermit - furthest I've travelled is Hilton Castle to see relatives and Isle of Wight for a baaaaaad holiday (not the place - the boyfriend lol).

I need a job. I am a single Mum and my daughter is old enough now where I feel comfy about returning to work and today I wrote my CV for the first time in donkeys years!! (Has taken me nearly 3 hours to do it!).

Just a question of finding a job that fits in with school - that'll be the hard bit
