Both discs landed in perfect condition. I used 1 for a film which my Yamada DVD player read without a hitch. The other I burnned stuff which was stored on my PC, for use on my PC, again it was unfaultable. I used Nero (on Windows XP) & a Pioneer 105 DVD writer to burn them.

Cheers

First of all apologies for the late review, I was hoping they would arrive before I went away on business.. Never mind

Disks arrived perfect condition

First impression of this disks is the Dye looks darker than Princo but lighter then Ritek, just so happens while I was away I ordere some 1x of these and I find it hard to tell the diff, as one batch of my 1x is white on top, the other the same colour.

Anyway I Disk one used gladiator Full backup

Win XP Pro
AMD XP 2200+
512mb 4500 DDR Corsair Ram
2 x 120gb WD RAID 0
2x Pioneer 105 v 1.30

Using nero the disk wrote at 4x, playback was excellent no skipping, tried in several standalones, worked fine, but would not work in my Philips DVD-ROM (it works with Riteks, but not other brands)

Disk 2 4gb worth of MP3's using nero, UDF mode, burned in 14 mins, read well on pioneer, played back well on my laptop, again would not work on philips DVD-ROM.

Result, a good all round reliable disks, but for the money RITEK Go-3/4 are still a better bet, or opt for a budget Princo (available at some crazy prices now) Doesnt quiet cut it!
EDITED
Ooops Just realised the price has come right down (73p a disks from some sources!) that makes them well worth a look!

Can anyone please help me with this disc?

Bought 100 of them off strenght of review, but have only managed to burn 5 from 25, get this error when trying to burn either an image or data DVD disc.

I'am using Windows XP, Prassic 2.0, 105 Burner fw 1.33 hacked, but also tried with 1.21 and got same result. This is the error i get:

'Imahe\Data Disc - Terminated with Errors'

Can anyone please advise me what this error is? Or whats cusing it as i do like these disc! Cheer, Rizel

Sorry for the late review but the discs arrived whilst I was on holiday. The discs arrived safley in plastic slieves in a brown envelope. I burnt a full 4.37gig movie on both these discs one in the A05 and one in the DVR-106D and checked them in my Toshiba M-1712 DVD-ROM drive with Nero CD Speed The graphs produced are very erratic but they were read without errors, Playback in my DVD players is good with fast chapter skipping and no stuttering in playback. I have since burnt a further 10 of these discs without problems although the CD speed graphs show irregularities,
So for a cheap disc these seem to be reliable for the price.

Using Pioneer 105, converted a couple of movies onto these disks with CloneDVD. Writing worked fine and the disks played fine in both my PCs and our Pioneer standalone DVD player. Also worked ok in a Pacific DV-750 player but wouldn't play on my PS2 (rev 4 if I remember right); that's why I did two films and not a film and a PS2 backup test.

Played ok at first on my sister's DVD player but ground to a halt half way through a film then wouldn't see the DVD after that. Will find out the model to let you know.

On the whole, seem ok for general use but not as compatible as the (only) other disks I've used so far which are the red Datawrites so will stick to them (or their equivalent) for now.

Jase

PS. My excuse for being so long with review... had major disaster upgrading my HD and have just finished reinstalling 100Gb of games/utilities! Rolling Eyes

The player they wouldn't play on was a LG DRD8160B and the Pioneer model I have that they do work on is DV-350 (forgot too mention the model of that one above!)

Software:
Winxp Pro
Nero 5.5.10.35
Dvd Decrypter 3.1.6.0

Results
Worked just fine, plays back fine on a Pioneer DV-535. Only problem i've had with the disks is they only wrote @1x, but i think this might have something to do with the writer.

Again, mea culpa due to killing my PC quite severely ...

Win XP Pro, XP1700+ 1gb
Panny LF-D311, NEC 1100a
Panasonic DMR-E50

Same results as the datawrite red/yellows here...

Tried one in the PC and one in the Panny ... no probs with 4+ gig of data on the PC or a full disc recording on the dmre50.

Dunno if I would pay the extra for these though as cheaper media yield me the same net end result.
